☆5 Times the Department Almost Found Out About Us + 1 Time Someone Did - Fraser/RayK, 6.4K, M.

I love five times fics, I love secret/hidden relationships, and I love spot-on character voices, and this fic delivered on all counts! A wonderful series of moments between Fraser and Ray. This was a fantastic gift, and I was delighted by it.

Original Work:
Nestled in Green - A very cute mother and baby orangutan. (Sidenote, the recipient, Danceswithorangutans, has a very specific niche and I adore them for it. I love an exchange recipient who knows exactly what they want and requests it with glee.)

Kaiju Love - Cute kaiju and its friend!

Let Virtue Take Her Sacred Nap - Fairy and human - I love the colors and style of this piece. It reminds me very much of a lushly illustrated book.

Fic
Firefly:
Stitches & Needles - Jayne/Simon, 500. Jayne and Simon flirt-insult while Jayne gets stitches. Good voices and verbal sparring.

Winnie-the-Pooh:
☆A Good Day - Piglet and Pooh, 650. Piglet and Pooh have a celebration. Wonderfully reminiscent of the original books. This could easily have been included by Milne.

MCU:
☆Setting a Schedule - Clint/Natasha, 1K. Clint and Natasha are having some trouble finding time to be together, but they find a practical, if unorthodox, solution.

Addams Family
☆The Heart of an Addams is Hard to Refuse (they will hunt you down and throw it through your window) - Wednesday/Joel, 1K. This was absolutely wonderful. Great lines, excellent attention to voices, and an enthralling Addams-ish solution to their quandary. Second favorite fic of the whole exchange.

Babylon 5:
Pick Up the Stones - Delenn and Sinclair, 1.9K. A meditative piece on mourning. Very flowing, and a nice look into Delenn's mind.

Ghosts (US)
The Fall - Trevor/Hetty, 3K. A 5+1 fic exploring the development of their relationship, with a heart-warming ending.

Crossover: Deep Space Nine/Columbo
☆Just One More Thing, Mr. Garak - Garak and Columbo, 1K. A dialogue-only fic, pitch-perfect in voices, and a delight to read.

It is a lovely day in the Unseen University library, and you are a horrible goose. Crossover, Discworld and Untitled Goose Game. Death, Librarian, and horrible goose. G, 450.
A quick read, and a funny one. You don't need to be able to speak either Goose or Librarian to know exactly what troubles are happening XD.

And the Wind is Surely Rising. Original Work. Sentient liner ship, ghost sister ship. T, 600.
A nicely shivery piece that puts an ominous spin on the thought of 'forever family'.

Playful. Original Work. Dragon, Kitten. G, art.
This art is very adorably cute. I love how the kitten and dragon are looking at each other.

And Many More. Babylon 5. Marcus/Stephen. T, 4K.
Excellent humor and teasing. Marcus is wonderfully dramatic, Stephen is both nervous and hopeful. A lovely get-together fic.

Appearances. Firefly. Mal, Simon. T, 700.
Mal's voice is spot-on, Simon's is also well done, and the hints and mentions of the rest of the crew also fit right into canon. I'd very happily read more of this. (Author has put an ot3 tag on, but this reads pure gen to me.)

That Eerie Song You Sing. Justified. Boyd, Rachel, Raylan. G, 1.5K.
Nicely spooky, very well described and imagined. Nice to see a fic from Rachel's POV.

I <3 U. Sesame Street. Bert/Ernie. G, art.
Wonderfully done. The art style was absolutely perfect for this fandom, and I just cannot get over Rubber Ducky's carrot-top hat.

Look At All the Bugs We Found. Project Hail Mary. Ryland. G, 1.3K.
Q&A format, and very clever. I especially liked the use of powers of six for specifically expressing humanly vague numbers.

Perimeter. Original Work. Post-apocalypse survivor, pre-apocalypse war robot. T, 1.7K.
Vivid! Ambiguous and uncertain, well-written and leaving you with things to contemplate. I really enjoyed this.

The Adventure of the Displaced Watcher by antennapedia. "An accident with a magical artifact sends Giles into the past. Can the specialist in hopeless cases help him before the artifact is lost and he is forever stranded?" Delightful story of Giles during Buffy S5 enlisting England's only consulting detective in the hunt, told in the form of both Watson's and his watcher's diary.
Do Nothing; But Trust Your Bird To Fly by Chibihaku. "When Arthur was eight, he met a boy with golden eyes and a penchant for mischief. When he was fourteen, he met a man with a bird on his arm, and a tattoo on his thigh. When he was twenty, he watched Merlin make a whirlwind and lie about it." I really loved the central metaphor of this story and getting a glimpse into Arthur's childhood and adolescence. I also liked the compromise of the ending, which seemed to me a particularly likely outcome had this happened in canon.
Serenity, Nevada by ChristinaK. "Oz's summer road trip takes him to a sleepy little town in Nevada- one that just woke up with a big new problem, and the local sheriff and citizens may have to face a reality they never expected before the closing credits." Flawless crossover with Firefly, whose characters have been transposed to a western town in postseries Buffy's timeline.
Someday by seekingferret. "If we're gonna make it, things are gonna have to change." MCU vid with serious 2020 energy. State violence, the penal system, natural and unnatural disasters, political corruption, and all the everyday people.
Tempt My Trouble by AurumCalendula. "'We're not friends/ And we're not lovers/ We're just trouble'" Wow, great song for Eve and Oksana but also just a wonderful capsule of what makes Killing Eve sing.
