Read a story, once. Man walks into an emergency room. Doctor inquires to his complaint. Man says he did not come of his own will, but at the urging of his friends. Doesn't know why. He is in no pain, suffers no ill health.

"Well then," says the doctor, "there's no reason for you to stay."

The man turns to go, at which point the doctor sees the knife sticking out of his back.
