* NamKook kisses by RowenNoir - The adorability factor of this fanart, y'all...Just trust me on this. :P


* Untitled Taehyung and Jungkook fanarts by Morgane_arts - featuring doggies: Bam, Paeng, and Song. The colors and style are so cool. Both pieces are adorable and inspired by recentish Insta posts.


* Koo with Bam by Cherymochii - What could be cuter than Jeon Bam during his puppy days? A smiling!Jungkook holding him. I just abt passed out from how sweet this fanart was, LOL.


* Untitled Seokjin fanart by Ekdak030 - Beautiful sketches of Seokjin with a vibe that leans heavy into the sensual. The stark background only enhances his handsomeness.


* Untitled Taehyung and Jungkook sketches by jiminscookiejar - Utterly beautiful portraits based on their looks during the Louis Vuitton movie. The warmth of the palette enhances their faces. I could legit stare at this piece for a long, long time.


* Untitled Taehyung/Yoongi fanart by kv_will_ - An absolutely gorgeous piece featuring lots of green and an amazing reproduction of both Yoongi and Taehyung's features. I also love the touch of whimsy via the fish.

* The Rightish Reasons by AttilaTheHun (Explicit, Seokjin/Yoongi + other background ships, 87k) - After being outed by a vicious ex and a way to spin the scandal into something positve, infamous actor!Kim Seokjin agrees to participate in Korea's first gay matchmaking reality TV show.

Let me begin by saying that I'm not the fastest of readers. I can go through, say, a 10k-word fic easy. Anything more and I tend to get tired. So, when I tell you this was A RIVETING STORY, I mean that I read it in one sitting. Yes, all EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND WORDS OF IT.

Not only is this AU by one of the best authors in the fandom, but the way that this author writes abt the behind-the-scenes details of reality TV kept me flipping pages late into the night. And then, there's the romance: unexpected for everyone involved (even if we know at least one of the main ships) and complicated. It didn't take me much to keep cheering everyone on to get their own HEA in this story.

One thing I quite like is fandom tarot card sets, not because I care about tarot but because it's a sort of visual fanfic and I like seeing how the characters/verse are matched into the tarot cards.

I had some time this week so I started going through the MXTX big bang and here's three Untamed/MDZS recs from it:

A Haunting Love by omegas_m, Selenay (65k)
Summary: When Lan Zhan moved into Gentian Cottage, he was looking for a quiet home and a fresh perspective on life. He didn't expect his new home to be occupied by a ghost who was anything but quiet, or to be pulled into a century-old mystery. Lan Zhan is about to discover that the world is stranger than he'd ever imagined and romance isn't just a genre on his bookshelf. (Excellent modern+cultivtion AU with amazing world building. A really engaging story and nice art too)

Summary: Lan Zhan does not expect his life to change at six-thirty in the evening in the middle of the week. Or: When you touch your soulmate for the first time, you remember your past life together. When Lan Zhan touches Wei Ying, he watches him die. (Modern, but also canon, soulmate AU. Really well done)

So You Accidentally Kidnapped A Qilin by Mikkeneko (83k)
Summary:
For untold years Heaven's plan has kept order on earth: they send a qilin, a divine messenger, to choose a worthy king and stand by their side to guide that king in their rule. But ever since the infant qilin of Wu Kingdom was kidnapped, the land has descended into ruin and strife as the five great cultivation sects contend among themselves.
Fifteen years later, the lost qilin is unexpectedly identified in the person of Wei Wuxian, the orphaned ward of the Jiang Sect. Wei Wuxian must struggle with the truth of his nature and what it means for him, his family, and his kingdom -- while also grappling with new and overwhelming feelings for the Lan Sect's cold and haughty Second Young Master! Meanwhile, not all the Sects are resigned to allowing Heaven to order their affairs for them, and if Wei Wuxian doesn't resolve the question of the kingship soon, they may take matters into their own hands... (fascinating AU, it's a fusion of a fandom I don't know but written so it didn't matter. I couldn't stop reading this one)

This one's another read-it-the-way-you-want OT3 fic with lots of cuddling and bed-sharing due to nightmares. Worked for me as not-an-OT3-shipper but OT3 shippers will probably adore it.
