* Pearl Boy by lovingityeah - Nothing better than Taehyung wearing a dress. I love the hint of Taehyung/Jungkook too (via JK's tattoos.)
* taejin after klimt by moonlambs - Such an eye-catching piece! I love the artsy vibes, the different golden hues, Taehyung and Seokjn's, well, everything...
FICS
* petrichor by namjinintellect (Rated Teen, RM/Seokjin, background Jimin/Jungkook, 19.8k) - Set in a world in which some ppl have superpowers, RM and Seokjin are the respective leaders of the city's heroes and villains. They snark at each other in the middle of battle. Things would be normal IF ONLY SEOKJIN DIDN'T HAVE FEELINGS FOR RM…
This is a way zanier and gentler fic than it looks. It's super fun to see BTS split between the heroes and villains teams, how they all earn a living when not battling it out, and what everyone actually wants to do about their superpowers. Highly recommend it!
These next two fics aren't exactly part of a series BUT they do share some plot points and character interactions. You can read both or whichever appeals to you.
* The Vagabond by sinkingmyships (Explicit, Yoongi/Seokjin, 44k) - Seokjin and Yoongi have complimentary versions of the same power (illusion) and so they've partnered up, traveling from town to town doing small cons. Everything would be super cool…if only Seokjin didn't have a case of the FEEEEELINGS.
This is the story where you get it all: mutual pining while in close proximity, sexy times, banter, sweet moments, magic, adventure, and baby dragons!
I do have to add a content and potentially trigger warning for the entirety of Chapter 4. This is a MILD SPOILER, but forewarned and all that: this specific chapter touches upon the idea of death. It's less abt grieving/mourning and more about the natural and transitional aspects of it. So the tone is respectful and tender. Personally speaking, I did shed a few tears when something happened (NOT involving any of the BTS members, btw), but it was because it filled me with a sense of quiet peace.
*The Whole of the Moon by sinkingmyships (Explicit, RM/Jungkook, 39k) - A companion fic to the previous one that focuses on RM and Junkook's lives: how they met, began living together, and ultimately fell in love.
This is an extremely SOFTE fic. The only angst is due to RM's overthinking stuff--which feels truthful to his characterization here given his role in this 'verse. I liked Jungkook's daredevil and open personality a lot too.
BECAUSE of who RM is and where he lives, I have to (once again) slap both Content and Trigger Warnings for themes of death (centered around it being a process)*. There is NO GORE in this fic (or in The Vagabond) or any MCD either.
*(If you're still unsure/need spoilers for specific things, feel free to ask me below (in anon if you'd prefer) and I can answer it to the best of my ability.)
