Specific spotlights to follow, but a general recommendation to any monster-lovers out there for SpaceCadetGlow's ongoing Kraken and Hen 'Verse (Our Flag Means Death, Izzy Hands/Benjamin Hornigold, rated E, four stories with a cumulative 35,256 words to date).

It features actual-kraken Hornigold—an eldritch creature who can shift between full kraken and human disguise with a hybrid shape in between—and a besotted young Izzy who happily learns a great deal about oviposition along the way. Fun for any OFMD Goldenboy fans, but also reads well canon-blind for anyone who's just here for the tentacles.
