Seasonsofdrabbles Recs
All these recs are either single or triple drabbles, so quick reads all around!
Find My Refuge - OW, T, gen.
A novelist takes a job as caretaker of a cursed manor. Loved how he figured out how to get the place to leave him alone to write. XD
The Golden Ability - OW, T, gen.
A tiny dragon encounters a foe. Pyrite is adorable, and I love his "worthy adversary" and the obvious misunderstanding the humans have for just what Pyrite is.
Two Birds, One Stone - Disney's Lion King, G, gen.
Scar contemplates. I can so easily picture his sneering face in this and his mental plotting is spot-on.
Not A Marble Statue - Disney's Hercules, E, Hercules/Meg.
Meg wants it rough. Hot and also tender, loved how Meg encouraged (demanded, really) Hercules to stop holding back.
Hair Whipping in the Wind as He Rode - Leverage, G, gen.
Hardison takes some revenge. I think Hardison's going to regret it, but Eliot had it coming. XD
Of Memory, Slow-returning - The Mummy, G, Anck-su-namun/Imhotep.
Imhotep ruminates on his lover. Angst for the soul! I always felt so sorry for Imhotep in the end, and this gives a good examination of his heart's hurts.
LuckyDuck - MCU, G, gen.
Kamala adopts a 'kitten'. Cute! A new mascot joining the team and immediately making friends was heart-warming.
Destined for Something Different - Supernatural, M, Dean/Sam.
Canonical alternate universe shenanigans. "It's a Terrible Life" is one of my favorite episodes of the series, and this is a nicely humorous (and sexy) bit set in that world. (And as I said in my comment, Dean's always proud of his car.)
Treasure - OW, G, gen.
Tiny dragon hoards buttons. Very cute. Loved the image and all the types of buttons.
Your Money or Your Life - OW, T, gen.
A highwaymen and a carriage's passenger. Loved this! A little creepy, a lot satisfying.
If Comfy, Warm, and My Size, Why No Sit: A Meta-analysis of Research into the Warm Flat Rectangle by Dr Fluffy Jones - OW, G, gen.
Cat scientists! My personal favorite out of the collection, a definite stand-out. Funny in every word, and the bibliography is really the topper on it all. Excellent piece, perfect in 300 words.
