Title: Home Again, Unfortunately
Author: JR Loflin
Fandom: Doctor Who (classic series)
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Barbara Wright/Ian Chesterton
Rating: All Ages
Summary: Ian suddenly finds life with the Doctor to be preferable to his latest challenge.

Short but sweet. It's very much in character and funny to boot. It puts a smile in my face and lives in my head rent free. I can't say much without spoiling it.

Title: Roots
Author: Inkfire
Fandom: Doctor Who (classic series)
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Susan Foreman/David Campbell
Rating: All Ages
Summary: In which Susan builds a life, made of little things and moments—learning to stand still. Classic!Who character insight piece, set after The Dalek Invasion of Earth. Susan/David.

Short but sweet. A nice view of what happened after Susan left, how she adapts to her new life.

Title: The Sands of Time
Author: Pendragon / [tumblr.com profile] unwillingadventurer
Fandom: Doctor Who (classic series)
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Susan Foreman, Ping Cho
Rating: All Ages
Summary: They had been best friends when they had adventured together in Cathay, but now Susan and Ping Cho were older and they often wondered what became of the other.

The relationship between Susan and Ping Cho is great, and this is a bit of a different take. They're both older and wondering what became of each other, and it's a nice character piece.

Title: Lost in Translation
Author: [archiveofourown.org profile] LissyStrata
Fandom: Doctor Who (classic series)
Character(s)/Pairing(s): First Doctor, Susan Foreman, Barbara Wright, Ian Chesterton
Rating: General
Summary: The TARDIS's translation circuit is sabotaged by small, furry aliens. Then it all goes downhill from there.

Interesting use of the (lack of) translation device in the TARDIS, plus an interesting setting and a bit of timey-wimey shenanigans. It's also very funny.

Title: Stop Telling Me You're Dead
Author: Richard Goff / Quark
Fandom: Doctor Who (classic series)
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Barbara Wright/Ian Chesterton, original characters
Rating: All Ages, Major Character Death
Summary: A pretty oblique Who story, about what happened to a certain history teacher thirty years after she stumbled, with a colleague, into a junkyard at 76 Totters' Lane.

Pretty oblique indeed. Ian is dead, and Barbara keeps getting mysterious phone calls. Quite a mysterious and gloomy read, haven't found anything quite like it yet.
