I believe Wen Chao, and perhaps others in his sect, have been somehow perverting cultivation with the influence of the supernatural. The undead, specifically.”

Wei Ying takes an entirely unnecessary breath. “My influence, you mean.” (great modern-with cultivation + vampire AU with interesting world building)

Summary: Wei Ying is lounging in the middle of the market place when he sees a rogue cultivator being shouted at for an unknown reason. Naturally, he has to get involved. (this 2020 fic was supposed to be first in an AU series where eye color tells of your past and those with darker eye color are considered distrustful but while no other stories were written for it, it still works well as a stand alone)

Too Much of Everything by surprisepink (Our Flag Means Death, Stede Bonnet/Izzy Hands, rated T, 6713 words to date) is currently up to 5/14 chapters of a canon divergence AU where Stede is captaining the Revenge with Izzy as his first mate, after agreeing with Ed to amicably part ways for a year to figure themselves out. As Stede and Izzy settle into their new professional partnership, they start to navigate the waters of friendship—and depths beyond—with an appropriate share of bickering and misunderstanding (and unexpected understanding) along the way.
