Description:
This piece reminds me of one of my favourite moments of season 2, which is when the traumatized crew have started to try to move on, and we get Izzy casually supervising everything on deck while whittling, with an exuberant Frenchie raising a new flag behind him. I love this, not just for the happy future it imagines but for the way the expressive cartoony style and bright colours convey it. There's so much story in the characters' body language here, and it's delightful.

Description:
A full-colour drawing of Frenchie and Izzy on the deck of their ship with a brilliant blue sky behind them. Izzy, dressed in his usual black, is standing contentedly with a cup of tea or coffee. Frenchie, dressed in his green shirt and embroidered waistcoat from the latter half of s2, is leaning forward with a smile to rest his chin on top of Izzy's head. Despite his crossed arms and gaze fixed forward, Izzy is leaning back against Frenchie. The wound on his forehead has healed, and the steam rising from his drink forms a small heart.
