The Big Bang Theory
So, hear me out, the sitcom nature of TBBT combined with the sci-fi/apocalypse potential of characters like "scientist who cuts up brains," "theoretical physicist with a sense of hubris," and "the it-girl who can gut a fish and shoot a gun," is like, the perfect brew.

This Is The Way The World Ends by debirlfan
Medium: Fanfiction
Length: 879 words
Relationships: Penny & Sheldon, gen
Comments: This is the fic that sent me down a rabbit hole of TBBT apocafic. It is also still probably the one that hits the hardest.

Original Fic
In This Housing Market
Medium: Text
Length: 2481 words
Author's Summary: "From a post by prokopetz on tumbr:

Concept: due to a misprinted sigil in a popular occult reference book, every time the local highschool goths try to summon something at the cemetery down the road, the conjured entity ends up in your bathroom instead."
Comments: More of a horror/comedy fusion. Fun & quick read.

Star Trek
Judgement Day by [personal profile] alara.
Medium: Fanfiction
Series: TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY
Status: Incomplete, but as a series of braided stories each individual story is complete
Content Notes: some brief mentions of religiously motivated violence; body horror & identity issues; violence in general
Comments: Probably one of my favorite things I've read in the Star Trek fandom. It nicely works together various characters and series. Basically, the story explores the horror/worst case scenario potential of the Q if they weren't as gentle with humanity. Lovely claustrophobic feel throughout.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
A Web of Coincidence by [personal profile] are_youready
Medium: Fanfiction
Status: Complete
Length: 8352 words
Relationships: Benjamin Sisko/Kasidy Yates; Benjamin Sisko/Mirror Jennifer Sisko
Comments: Read it... read it... capslock velociraptor is coming and telling you to read it! On a more serious note, this fic hits a lot of classic horror tropes and integrates them convincingly into the world of DS9.

Twilight
Lost in Translation by afterandalasia
