FANART

* Namgiseok Smooches by sopedoods - An extremely cute piece for any Rapline enthusiasts out there.

* RM and his dog fanart by ellendrawings - Speaking of adorable, how abt this v. soothing digital art? Not only is Namjoon's smiles (and his dimples!) making me grin back, but we also get to see Rapmon and a frand.


* Untitled Hobi/Jungkook fanart by mowaa - Keeping up with this week's theme (which seems to be CUTENESS), how about this tooth-achingly sweet piece? In addition to doing a great rendering of both guys, I really dig how well the artist depicted both Hobi and Jungkook's fashion sense.


* Untilted Jimin/RM by mani_ch2o - Nothing like a cuddle time between RM and Jimin to continue the mellow vibes. I love everything from the color palette (which reminds me of late afternoon sunlight) to the soft intimacy between both guys.


* Pink Yoongi! by GinArtist - The simplicity of this piece (it's a Yoongi portrait) is enhanced by all the pink (from Yoongi's hair to his lips and the sweater he's wearing.) It's a good tip of the hat to his current (as of this Monday) look. I'm in LURVE.


* Untitled Seokjin fanart by Aris_art_hell - Ending this rec post with a piece that left me making this face ^___^ when I came across it. Based on the vlive Seokjin did three days ago, I can only coo at all of the delightful details (the flowers, hearts, and even Seokjin's representative emoji!) So much to \o/ at, really.

* listen for you by toasttheknowing (Explicit, Seokjin/Jungkook, 4.9k) - FWB + Banter-heavy AU set during the filming of In The SOOP.

I liked the way Jungkook kept teasing Seokjin (who, let's be real here, wasn't super put out by the teasing itself.) The undercurrent of sweetness made it a v. enjoyable fic to read.

The angel looked thoughtful — more thoughtful than Crawly had anticipated, truth be told. “Sometimes.”
“You do?”
“Sometimes,” Aziraphale said again, and sighed faintly. “It’s not as if we can find out, though.”
“Why not?” Crawly asked.
Reccer's Note: Azriaphale and Crowley are a little baffled by what the humans call a hug, and decide they should try it out for themselves. This is very sweet, and it is nice to see a fic that takes place not long after the exit of Eden, when humans are still kind of new and strange to angels and demons, which is a little rare in this fandom.

Aziraphale nests. Crowley relearns some crucial facts about angelic courtship rituals.
Reccer's Note: Aziraphale is nesting, and he assumes Crowley will understand that, but Crowley has no clue what is going on. This is another cute one. I love how Crowley is still a little bit abrasive, but also desperate to make things right with Aziraphale.

More Untamed/MDZS recs from me. Today's recs all have a modern AU with cultivation theme to them (utterly by accident, but let's pretend I planned it):

Back on Jun 10th I posted about Stratisphyre's i really want to know (who are you), a hilariously wonderful modern cultivation AU where WWX is a skilled but overly friendly Cultivation Technician and Cultivation Agent LWJ tries to not be impressed (although he really, really is). It's now a series! CSI: Gusu Lan Edition with a prequel, but his smile never dimmed, 9.5k, (Summary snippet: While temporarily teaching at Yungmeng University, Lan Qiren finds himself dealing with an unruly student.) and a sequel found myself and my melodies, 10.5k, (Summary: The kaleidoscope of events that led to Lan Xichen's eventual resignation from the Gusu Bureau of Cultivation began when a rotting corpse from Lanling rolled in through their receiving bay. - LXC/NMJ fic - both as absolutely excellent as the first.)

结局难更改 (the ending is hard to change) by PorcupineGirl (series, 2 works, 43.7k combined)
Summary of first fic: Exhausted from a busy cultivation conference, the last thing Lan Zhan needs is a man appearing out of thin air as he and his brother walk back to their hotel. Wei Wuxian isn't the first time traveler to appear in modern cultivation history, but that doesn't mean anyone knows how to send him back. As he helps them fill in gaps in the historical record - whether left by destruction or revisionism - Lan Zhan finds himself hoping that he'll stay. Even if there are things Wei Wuxian isn't telling him. (absolutely excellent modern cultivation plus canon divergent plus reincarnation series. I know that sounds confusing but the series really makes it work.)

Night of the Living History (an edutainment special!) by Aerlalaith (51k)
Summary snippet: Wei Ying lands a job as the Yiling Patriarch at the Lanling Cultivation Museum. Lan Zhan (Hanguang-Jun 4x per week, Sect Leader Lan 2x per week) suffers accordingly. (really interesting modern but with minor cultivation worldbuilding museum docent fic)

Summary snipper: A ridiculous thought occurred to Lan Zhan. “...Wei Ying?”

At his feet, the cat responded with an emphatic trilling noise and a little hop of excitement. (hilarious and adorable modern cultivation AU)

Steve has a question to ask. He also needs DUM-E to keep it a secret, at least for the next few hours.
This was so sweet. I love Steve bonding with Tony's bots and the ending just made me smile.

This was intended to be a 4+1 but they only wrote the first two. However, each of the sections reads complete enough as they are, and it's two lovely Eliot-centric ficlets where Eliot is called to help Parker and Sophie when they're in trouble.
