Two Good Omens AU fics

I binge read both of these stories this week, they are complete AUs, so you could probably read them both with no canon knowledge, although I do think the author does a pretty good job of keeping the character's personality intact:

Reccer's Note: I don't want to give too much away, but this fic starts with the Groundhog Day trope and expands in unexpected ways from there. It is a lovely sci-fi love story, that will have you rooting for Azirpahle/Crowley to be together. It also tackles some science fiction related ethical issues, and features several of your favourite Good Omens characters.

Summary: A mining crew and a geologist and a moon on the edge of collapse. What could possibly go wrong? Turns out, pretty much everything
Reccer's Note: This one is a sci-fi horror story, with a romantic sub-plot. Azirphale and Crowley's romance is a large part of the story, but the main focus is them trying to survive the terrible situation they are in. There are some genuinely creepy and scary stuff in this story, but it never tips into gore territory. The author does a great job building the stakes, while also taking little breaks to flashback to how Azriaphale and Crowley's relationship developed. Although, I will say, maybe best not to read this one late at night.

Summary: Lan Wangji wasn't privy to the conversations that took place among Yiling staff, but there was always an apologetic, tense edge to the tech's voice when someone else took over his missions. As if Wei Ying had put the fear of God into them if they let anything happen to Lan Wangji when Wei Ying was not personally available to oversee him. (absolutely excellent spies and secret agents AU)

Hi! Here is a copy of my last recs post.

Avengers: Terrible Idea by MountainRose and szzzt - Steve/Tony, mature. Steve and Tony get captured by AIM. Steve can handle bad wine and worse monologuing, but when he gets back to the cell, Tony's not quite how he left him. i.e. sorta caveman!Tony and not quite as badly affected but still pretty feral Steve learning to live with it and to live in their world, even when they can't speak or read or function on the same level, but they're still themselves. This was gorgeous and smart, and a very absorbing read. I loved seeing the world through their eyes throughout.

Avengers: War, Children by Nonymos - Steve/Bucky, explicit. After Bucky was released from the hospital, it only took him a couple of weeks to give up on himself. Difficult to believe in any kind of future when the simple act of staying alive was almost too big an effort. Out the frosted window, across the street, there was a tiny homeless guy burrowing under an awning. Woah. This was quite a ride. An epic tale of hardship and love and dealing with your shit, no matter how hard it is. I loved their inner and outer journeys, they way they let their guards down with each other and then spent a lot longer trying to do the same with the rest of the world, how Bucky needed so much but wasn't going to let it define him or take over. I held my breath several times. Really lovely.

Peacemaker: Cleaning Up by mitochondriencocktail - Chris/Adrian, mature. There, very sadly, isn't much decent fic out there for these two. Once you can get over the wtf of slashing John Cena (I did it with Bruce Willis, I did it with The Rock, I can damn well do it here), they're made for each other: the bickering and terrible friendship choices and shared hobbies and sheer unadulterated dumbassery. What's not to love? This fic was dumb and sweet and slightly worrying and very, very them. Do want more.

A lovely Eliot/Parker fic with sleeping together (literally, not as a euphemism for sex), but the ship's rather ambiguous in the fic so it may work for someone even if they only ship them platonically.
