FANART

* Untitled Seokjin fanart by AandG70613 - I love the sensuality of the entire piece: the touches of glitter, Seokjin's "come hither" expression, and the different hues of blue that draws you in.


* new year, new joggers by artisqueer - An eye-catching pencil fanart of a topless RM (with bonus!tattoo and nipple piercings)... >:)


* falling in love by 90staeguk - An AU piece in which Taehyung works at a florist shop and Jungkook's just walking by. The different tones of brown add a certain warmth to this fanart. Plus, both Yeontan and Bam are there. Doggies always make things better. :D


* Untitled Jungkook Fanart by sleeepyrabbit - Jungkook from the Deco Kit surrounded by fellow bunnies.


* Untitled Jimin Fanart by K7Eli - An absolutely breathtaking piece featuring Jimin dancing. It's a sensual digital drawing (hinting at some v. mild nudity). I really like how the artist posed him mid-movement.


FICS

* Set On You by hope_and_hardship (Explicit, Seokjin/Yoongi, 24k) - A canon compliant fic set in a world in which some people have extraordinary abilities. In BTS' case, both Yoongi and Seokjin are telepaths while Hobi is an empath.

One of the things I enjoyed about this story is how it worked the canon of Yoongi and Seokjin being roommates within an already wild premise. Also the romance: tentative yet sweet.


* somewhere you can meet me by missandrogyny (Rated Teen, Yoongi/Seokjin, 25.9k) - Seokjin's a small time hotelier while Yoongi is an ultra popular idol rapper.

The casual vibes of the premise will draw you in. I love how the relationship between Yoongi and Seokjin develops quietly yet with an edge of uncertainty. And then, there's the maknae line: meddling and supportive.

More MDZS/Untamed fic recs from me today!

First a *super* long, but wonderful fic:

Love Song In Reverse by Author: timetoboldlygo (237k)
Summary: Wei Wuxian gasps back into life without a single memory left. His friends, his siblings, his home — all lost to the fog in his head, nothing more than a mystery slipping through his fingers. What else was there to do but carry himself around in bits and parts, trying to become whole, a letter waiting to be written? He is – he is Mo Xuanyu, isn’t he? In this body, with these people. This family. He has to be Mo Xuanyu, he didn’t know anything else, even if the name sounded wrong. That was all he had. Well, that and Hanguang-jun. Lan Wangji, for his part, has had his taste of love and lost it. In all his grieving and searching, he didn’t expect to find another.

Wei Wuxian gets resurrected, loses his memories, and falls in love. (I've been following this amazing amnesia AU fic for close to 2 years and it's finally complete so I can finally rec it! Yes, it's ridiculously long, but it's so very very good. It's canon divergent due to the summoning ritual resulting in WWX not remembering anything prior to that evening and since the Lans assume it's a result of the chaos of that night they bring him back to Cloud Recesses. "Mo Xuanyu" and LWJ find themselves attracted to one another but there's LWJ's previous lost love (aka WWX) looming over them and the whole mystery of the cursed dismembered body pieces and the fact MXY seems to have been a demonic cultivator... Anyway, a long, but absolutely excellent read.)

And now two short ones:
Sect Leader Wen Qionglin by maya_brainstormed (mayachain) (2k)
Summary: Wen Ning has lived as a sentient fierce corpse for about four hundred years. Going back in time could have been an accident, but isn't. (Unusual and interesting time travel fix-it from Wen Ning's POV)

hot for teacher by attackofthezee (noxlunate) (8k)
Summary Snippet: In which Wei Ying is a young single father whose son is possibly scheming to set him up with his history teacher. (very cute modern AU)

... and thus a superb occasion to rec a Harry Potter story in which Dudley Dursley finds her true self as Debra Dursley.

Did you spend your Potter years also violently despising the Dursleys? Harry's foster family that prided itself on being "normal" in every way, not a whiff of magic about them? Yeah, those Dursleys.

But this is the story of Debra Dursley. You used to know her, perhaps, as Dudley.

I'd like to rec this story wholeheartedly. Like everything lannamichaels touches, it is beautiful. Written in second person with a laconic flow and impeccable rhythm, with quiet humour and genuine love for Debra.

I did not expect to read "Twilight" fic this year but I spent a large part of last weekend reading Twilight fic and loving it. Not much canon knowledge is required - I had completely forgotten anything about the Volturi, for example - but I did not mind.

I love this author and she dropped this great casefic this week. Lots of pining, h/c, some humour thrown in.
