Today is trans visibility day...

... and thus a superb occasion to rec a Harry Potter story in which Dudley Dursley finds her true self as Debra Dursley.

Did you spend your Potter years also violently despising the Dursleys? Harry's foster family that prided itself on being "normal" in every way, not a whiff of magic about them? Yeah, those Dursleys.

But this is the story of Debra Dursley. You used to know her, perhaps, as Dudley.

I'd like to rec this story wholeheartedly. Like everything lannamichaels touches, it is beautiful. Written in second person with a laconic flow and impeccable rhythm, with quiet humour and genuine love for Debra.
