This works great if you only have one rec and don't want to make a whole post for it, or if you don't have a DW account, or if you're shy. ;)

I really liked how the author gave both characters enough space to realize their eventual romantic feelings WHILE also developing a friendship. Cat (um, the cat) also had a personality of her own. Even better was the instances with the rest of the members and how they too form connections with Jungkook.
What a lovely story.

Summary: AU where supposedlystraightboy!tae falls for a pretty drag queen named Minnie and has a pretty chill questioning of his sexuality.
Exactly as the summary suggests, this is a fun AU that lovingly celebrates queerness in all its colours, and contains some of the most laugh-out-loud hilarious dialogue I've read in a long time.

Summary: Dying on the deck of an enemy ship, while serving his Captain, that was the way to go. That was how First Mate Hands should have died. It was clear he was of no use to Blackbeard, if Blackbeard even existed anymore. And if there was no Blackbeard, then there should also be no First Mate to Blackbeard. They should have just left him there, to drown in blood on the deck of that Dutch ship.
Or: Izzy has spent his adult life defining himself as Blackbeard's right hand man. So, what happens when Blackbeard no longer exists?
Reccer's Note: Izzy saves Stede's life, but gets stabbed in the process. He then has to be taken care of by Stede and Ed, although he fights that. Izzy's introspection is well written, and I liked the slow progression of their relationship.

Summary: ‘Just so I understand,’ Izzy says, voice steely in a way that would have most men quaking with fear, but only earns him an indulgent smile from Stede, ‘you’re going to enforce mandatory bonding time for me with the rest of the crew so that I can… learn to get along with them?’
Or, Stede organises a sleepover to try and get to know Izzy better. Somewhere in between wearing Stede's clothes and getting his nails painted, Izzy loses his mind.
Reccer's Note: This fic is very funny, Stede has a mandatory sleepover for him, Ed and Izzy, and poor Izzy just doesn't know how to handle it. Plus, Ed and Stede are like giddy schoolgirls, who won't let Izzy sleep.
I also recommend the second fic in this series, 7 habits of highly effective first mates, where Izzy tries to implement some of Stede's management techniques, and he freaks the crew out, hilarious!
