* Untitled Namjin mini-comic by Gresiteisland - Based on Seokjin's longer hair from the earlier part of 2022, I totally loved the way that RM flirted (all that gentle hair-pulling, unf!). Also, Seokjin's flustered expression in the last panel made me smile too.


* Untitled Seokjin/Taehyung fanart by lemolemo9295 - V. sweet portrait based by eps. 145-147 of Run BTS (in which the group travels back in time to Joseon era.)


* Untitled Taehyung/Yoongi fanart by RuaDogg_ - Another "That That" x "Permission to Dance" xover piece in which two cowboys are ready for anything.


* Cowboy Cat to celebrate That That by HAPPIHOBI - I'm endlessly charmed by cat!Yoongi's tiny hat, ngl. XD.



FICS

* his own strange altar by vxmins (Explicit, Taehyung/Jimin, 27.9k) - By day, Park Jimin works at a law firm. At night, he's Calico, one of the city's most notorious supervillains. Balancing his two lives takes work. He's willing to do what he needs to do as long as his husband Taehyung is by his side.

And then, one day, Taehyung disappears.

This is where I admit that I'm extremely meh-to-hot-and-cold abt superheroes AUs, but the somewhat darker mood of the premise called out to me. I'm v. happy to say that this fic is worth reading is you want more complex dynamics between heroes and villains. The rest of BTS is also present in the story (under equally morally gray roles--tho not all of them are villains.) It's a fun ride from beginning to end.

I come bearing an assortment of recs today!

First, DMBJ (I think the Lost Tomb tag has been used here) art from the DMBJ Gen Exchange 2022 (anonymous since authors haven't been revealed yet)

Who Wants To Live Forever? Summary: Hei Xiazi through the years... (a wonderful juxtaposition of two sketches with Hei Xiazi, a quasi-immortal, having a bite to eat at the same corner, years apart)

Then, an Nirvana in Fire epistolary fic from Unsent Letters 2022 (also still in its anon phase)

Conversations with Myself Summary: Letters that Mei Changsu and Su Zhe have exchanged. (Or, Mei Changsu has never been one to not invest wholeheartedly into his schemes. Even ones that involve a paper-thin false identity) (2.5k, a really interesting take on how Mei Changsu might have established his Su Zhe persona)

And lastly, two Untamed/MDZS fics and one vid:

Summary Snippet: a boy, a god and a rebellion against the empire (wonderful AU with numerous canon elements where Lan Zhan ascended to godhood and after answering a small boy's prayer finds himself drawn into his life again and again)

Summary: “There’s a carving by the entrance, but I can’t read it. It looks—old.” Jingyi stepped closer, reached out a hand to touch the rock. “Do not...blink? Don’t blink,” he repeated. “What does that mean?” Lan Sizhui would never have guessed that investigating a statue would lead to an encounter with a mysterious stranger, an adventure across time and space, and startling revelations about both Hanguang-jun's past and his own. (short but utterly delightful Doctor Who fusion)

Whistle by hexenmeister. Summary: can you 吹 my 簫 baby, 簫 baby, let me know. aka all the flute and whistling scenes I could fit into 2.5 minutes, ft. lxc as master of horny ceremonies (AO3 link)
