FANARTS

* Untitled RM/Taehyung piece by ohgeezitssam - HYYH!era RM and Taehyung have a moment or two to kiss and they'll take it. The light in this piece is great in how it depicts the nighttime setting. And how it enhances the edginess and grittiness of RM and Taehyung's world.


* Untitled Yoong Fanart by jjooSG93 - Well, more specifically, a piece abt his hands. So detailed and life-like. I deffo felt quite @ ___ @ when I saw it for the first time.


* Untitled Jimin/Jungkook Fanart by damnkillerloop - A selca inspired by the time when Jimin had them looooong gray extensions sometime in late November 2021. What a cute piece!


* vintage tae sketches by ladsofsorrow - I love how chic Taehyung looks in these two pieces. The styling gives me late 50s Parisian runway vibes.



FICS

* I Thought Desire Smaller by stark_burnt_heart (Explicit, RM/Yoongi, 17.7k, background Taehyung/Jimin) - Tired of struggling to keep himself afloat, RM follows his friend Jimin's advice and ends up with successful architect!Yoongi as a sugar daddy.

This is a low-pressure fic; one that keeps the fluffiness of the relationship going without making things too saccharine. I also enjoyed seeing how the soulmate angle was worked into the plot: in a way that enhanced the fic.

Back to just reccing some lesser known MDZS/Untamed fics from me today:

Summary: While travelling alone, Wei Wuxian finds a baby animal in need of rescue. If he'd realized in the moment what kind of animal it was, he probably wouldn't have picked it up... Or Wei Wuxian accidentally adopts a puppy and life instantly becomes a lot more complicated from there. (Canon compliant fic where poor WWX is trying to get over his fear of dogs while having a dog. Utterly delightful)

Professor Lan, Babysitter Extraordinaire by Eleanor_Fenyx (4k)
Summary Snippet: “Right! Okay! God this is so weird. A-Yuan this is Lan-laoshi, be good for him please, he’s very nice. I’ll come pick you up as soon as I’m done, okay?”

“Okay Baba,” A-Yuan says and then - so quickly it’s a surprise that his passing doesn’t make an audible swishing noise like a cartoon - Wei Wuxian darts into the lecture hall, leaving Lan Wangji alone with the scruffy bag and the not-nearly-as-scruffy toddler. (adorable Professor LWJ helping out WWX by watching A-Yuan modern AU fic)

Falling Til Four in the Morning by phnelt (5k)
Summary: The first time he finds the Mando station is an accident. He almost loses it, jerking his thumb on the dial he was slowly spinning to find viable frequencies. It takes some wiggling and some horrendous static but he gets back there, a clear AM signal coming through and some Lena Lim gently crooning while flutes warble in the background. It feels strange, almost, after months of only English, almost like he’s getting away with something. He stands there for a moment, thumb poised to scroll past, but the voice of the DJ comes on to introduce the song and Wei Ying is transfixed. Radio was invented for this man, he thinks. (short and sweet modern AU)

I love the various ways creators connect Kojiro's time in Italy with Kaoru, filling in the story the anime left out.

It's already canon that the two 'best friends' travel the world together, and I love how the artist interpret their time in Italy, cause, of course, Kaoru would visit Kojiro at least once in Italy.
