FANART

* family trip by oki10s - Two v. cool sketches of Yoongi during a recent trip to Daegu (based on what he posted on social media.) I really like the playfulness of the kitty ears and the Holly doodle in the background too.


* Great fans spotted at the Billie Eilish concert by Aris_art_hell - Inspired by RM and Hobi at Billie Eilish's recent Seoul concert, this is one grin-induncing piece. There's so much joy in this fanart.


* Yoongi: its nothing by gaucherouni - I love that this artist chose such a lulzy and ultimately sweet moment from the most recent episode of Run BTS to artify. The self-own of Yoongi saying he'd be cool if/when he meets any of the other members to him yelling MY FRIEND! as soon as he saw Hobi…awwwww and LOOOOOOOL.


* love filled vlog by kyimchi - A cute mini-comic abt what happened when Yoongi delivered his whale-shaped cutting boards he made himself to the other members. Their reactions were super neat.


FICS

* Proof by macabre (Mature, Seokjin/Jungkook, Taehyung/Yoongi, RM/Hobi/Jimin, 9k) - A rather original fic set in a post-apocalyptic omegaverse in which omegas are extremely rare, the world has turned harsh, and survival is the only goal.

For such a harsh premise, there's a lot of love in this story. Also tenderness.

Do heed the tags. Nothing triggery is shown on-page, but there are mentions of assault and other things that have happened to past characters.

A few art recs from twitter and a couple of fic recs this week! Fandoms are Jujutsu Kaisen, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Yugioh!

First, the art:

.Kugisaki & Fushiguro & Itadori by sub_furiwo; such a fun trio, and I love how casual they are here, and how close you can tell they are, with Itadori's arm over Fushiguro and Fushiguro holding out his drink for Kugisaki, and just how they're all leaning into each other, it's all super lovely! :D <3

.Gojou/Fushiguro senpai/kouhai AU by satsu1640; this is so pretty and sweet, I love the panels with the sparklers and the blue and yellow shadows and lighting, it's all super good. <3

.Fukuzawa/Ranpo by nekoy113; I love this so much omg, haha, it's a lot of fun! I love how it seems like Fukuzawa scooped Ranpo up out of trouble, and their expressions, with how Ranpo seems like he's still causing trouble to those behind them and then Fukuzawa's sigh, haha, it's all super great! :D <33

Maybe it's a sick joke. Or maybe it's just another way of saying this was all inevitable.

Either way, they're stuck -- entwined together until the bitter end.

This fic is still in progress, but I've been really enjoying it so far! The premise is super interesting, and I love the bits of worldbuilding they've done with the soulmates aspect. The first chapter really pulled me in, and I really love the development of Itadori and Sukuna's relationship so far! :D <3

Bakura's somewhere in between.

Bad end AU where Yami Bakura succeeds and Zorc wins and everything is terrible, haha. The whole fic is done in dialogue where we only hear Zorc's half of the conversation, and it's so cool how much about the situation and Yami Bakura's feelings is conveyed just through that, and the last few lines get me every time omg, it's so good and I enjoy it immensely! :D <33

First, a very old one written after the book was out but before any of the other related media:
grief; the stages of by synonemous (40k)
Summary: Wei WuXian opened his eyes to the sound of buzzing. (fascinating reimagining of (highlights of) the novel's events with a modern 2019 setting, i.e. modern cultivation plus cars and cellphones, etc)

and then two show/combo fics:
I would rise free, and journey far away by psychomachia (9k)
Summary: Lan Xichen gets a correspondent in his seclusion. Nie Huaisang is just surprised he didn't set the first letter on fire. (a very interesting LXC-centric story told mostly through letters)

operation prison break (gone wrong) by bosbie (6k)
Summary: In the blighted depths of the Nightless City prison, the second prince of Gusu unlocks a cell door and opens it. It’s empty. The prisoner across the aisle is more than happy to tell him why—but not before being a shameless bastard about it. (Fascinating peek of a short royalty/spy AU)

Farscape fic - Normal by Hmpf_MacSlow - An extended look at Crichton's journal entries from "Terra Firma". This writer nails Crichton's voice with such surgical precision it feels like it could be canon supplementary material. Also tore my heart out and stomped on it, in a good way. Must-read for fans of angst, trauma, and intimate character studies.

I've got quite a batch this time. Most of my recs for this week are Kamen Rider OOO related, but I have Spy x Family ones too!

two wishes collide by Rethira Ankh/Eiji - Rated E - 1369 words

I love how the author wrote Ankh and Eiji here, this is just some well written smut in general! Very evocative and one of my favorite smutfics I've come across for OOO.

Re:Death by JudgementKinsey Date/Gotou - Rated T - 1756 words

Spoilers for OOO, as this takes place after an event later on in the series. The author got Gotou and Date spot on and it's by far my favorite Date/Gotou fic out there.

The Animal (In Me) by swordform Ankh/Eiji - Rated E - 1156 words

I adored this one, the world really needs more of Eiji being a monsterfucker! I love all the small details and how they wrote Ankh and Eiji. I adore this author's OOO fics as a whole too!

Fanart:

Some very sweet Date/Gotou kissing on one of the motorbikes in the show. A tender moment between Ankh and Eiji. And a stunning Ankh in a peacock inspired dress (recolored to fit his overall color scheme, original dress is linked in the post too!) These three fanart recs are by the incredible sasasartblog!

I also have to show this adorable illustration of Ankh with many baby chicks by so_kisoba_

And lastly, as always as per one of the laws of art I've seen on twitter: click_burgundy has more than likely drawn your fave. (Or will at some point.)

The Spy x Family fandom has created some truly amazing joseph christian leyendecker studies. Here is one of Butterfly Couple by diurnaldaysart that is STUNNING.

One of my favorite Loid x Yor artworks out there by arishatistic, gorgeous coloring and wonderful atmosphere!
