Really cool story with an amazing Lily. I love her.

Petunia Evans is a Muggle. She has no place in their world, the magical world, and it’s best that she come to terms with that now. She couldn’t do magic if she tried, any more than she could ever be as beautiful as Lily, as fun as Lily, as likeable as Lily.
There’s another world where Petunia Evans lets this disappointment seep deep into her bones—a world where Petunia Evans grows old, and bitter, and angry at all the things she cannot have. In that world, Petunia Evans lets her jealousy steep, like tea that’s been left too long, and lets it turn into a thick, steaming beverage of resentment and hate and disgust. In that world, Petunia Evans is always second-best to her beautiful, her magical, her shining and smiling sister, in her own head if nowhere else, and this remains so even after Lily is gone.
That’s a different world.
This is so cool, with a Petunia who is only slightly less bitter and has more reasons to be bitter about than Lily. I love this Petunia so much.

Andromeda was a child protecting one sister from the other as they avoided the wrath of their parents.
She was a teenager warning about what might come if they did not stay in line yet the first to flee.
Now she's a grieving grandmother watching as Narcissa returns to her after decades with a bottle of cherry wine and a newborn baby in a wicker basket.
Oh, this was horrifying and sad and miserable. And still there is hope at the end.

I know the fandom isn't as big here on DW as it is on Tumblr, but I stumbled across the best Check, Please! AU where Samwell isn't a college, but is rather a Dictionary publishing company. It's a Dex/Nursey fic, and I'm not even done, but it's alluding to Zimbits (Jack/Bitty) so if that's your jam, there's at least a trickle.

The writing in this is just so perfect, and the characterization, angst, and level of banter between Nursey and Dex is ::chef's kiss:: beyond perfect.

I really liked this Carmen Sandiego (2019) fic I read the other day: in your eyes alone are many colonies of stars" by loveslandscape, a 3.7k post-canon fic about Player & Carmen through the years. Their friendship is super sweet and believable; no major angst here, but it's just not tooth-rotting enough to be enjoyable and realistic.

(Edit/clarification: It is enjoyable and realistic, because of the non-tooth-rotting-ness of the fluff! I don't mean to imply that it is not - bad phrasing.)

Teamfic with some h/c and angst mixed in. Focused on Eliot and Parker.

The Thames Tumble by OnyxBird (3713 words)
This is actually a series (of two fics), incomplete though I don't know if anything more will be added (and it's not got *so* much plot dangling that one can't enjoy it as-is). Eliot-centric, a bit canon divergent, and the occasional humorous scene.
