Three random MDZS/The Untamed non-canon setting AUs from me today:

Summary: So: waiting, in the evening, for the alert to appear, so that the herpetology records may be updated with the latest snakes, lizards, turtles, and frogs that Wei Ying has collected in the “Burial Mounds”. There is no location data associated with this name, no matter how many geolocation requests are submitted. (Nie Huaisang once claimed to know where the Burial Mounds are, but Nie Huaisang also claims that shadow boxes are a responsible method of arthropod preservation, so Lan Wangji has his doubts. The pinned butterflies are, however, very beautiful.) (or: a snapshot of a natural history museum collection au, feat. herpetologist WWX, botanist LWJ, remote access, and coming home.) (at only 3k, this is just a brief look into the AU world of specimen collecting WWX and how interesting LWJ finds him, but it's a good one)

(lots of hinted at world building and backstory to this short selkie AU)

It's not always easy, but I've always tried to rec lesser well known or newer fics so I'm really happy that I manage to find ones you haven't read before :)
