The Prince of the Grotto by
Lang
Thor/Loki, 37k. This is, if you can believe it, a Revengers-themed The Blue Castle fusion (yes, the LM Montgomery book) where Loki was raised in Jotunheim. I'm reccing it because it is a fic I reread it today for the umpteenth time. It's more straight comedy than the novel, and yet it still yanks at my heart strings, and I always cry at least twice. Loki's life as the inconvenient runtling prince of Jotunheim is such a bummer! His family is so hilariously terrible! And then he discovers he's dying of horn plague, and he figures he might as well go out and live some life.
Just a really delightful read, whether you've read the novel or I think even if you haven't, it's fun on its own. One of those things I would never have thought to want, and yet here fandom is, providing me with this gem.
