She doesn’t pull out of Lambert’s grasp, though, just stands there, gritting her teeth and shaking. / Lambert lets go of her arm, takes a step back. “Does that hurt?” he asks, because he hadn’t even hit her that hard, what the fuck? / Ciri blinks at him, looking a little dazed on top of being ashen. “Isn’t… that why you did it?” / Rather abruptly, Lambert stops feeling anything at all / (Lambert somehow became everyone he ever hated as a child.)
