* Untitled The Astronaut fanart by o24_y1 - A cool piece inspired by Jin's "The Astronaut" MV. I love seeing Wotteo hanging out next to Jin.

* juxtaposition by theundiagnosable (Explicit, Taehyung/Jimin, 5k words) - A Jimin-centric story that explores his current mindset as well as how awesome his established relationship with Taehyung is.

Content warnings (per the author): "pretty badly dysphoric/negative body image thoughts; said dysphoria is largely in the past and is being remembered by the pov character who is now in a much better space mentally"

FTR, the overall story is way lighter in mood than the warnings might make it seem like. At the same time, the warnings are there for a reason. <3


* Sunny With a Chance of Lizards by SugarAndMint (Rated Teen, Yoongi/Jimin, 59.5k) - Non-Idol AU in which Yoongi calls Jimin by accident (Jimin and Hobi have the same phone number except for one digit) one night.

Yoongi's a freelance songwriter and producer who is trying to figure out if he's emotionally and psychologically strong enough to try to pursue a career in the highly competitive Korean music business again. He'd attempted it before only to crash and burn in a rather bad way. Hyung line are a close group of friends (also Namseok are dating). Maknae line are friends. V. low heat story that has lots of feelings and a really good and fun slow burn.

Trigger warning: a cat that's mostly Yoongi's pet gets hurt in Chapter 5. THE CAT IS ATTENDED TO AND THINGS ARE OKAY FOR THE CAT. I'm giving the heads up cuz Yoong almost has a panic attack and I teared up when I was reading that section. The author had warned for it at the beginning of that chapter, but I figured it'd be good to add an extra heads up.


* so much at stake by caprikoya (Rated teen, Yoongi/Seokjin, 12.4k) - Perfect for SPOOOOKY season, here's a Yoongi-centric Non-Idol AU in which most of the Tannies are some kind of supernatural creature. In Yoongi's case, he was turned into a vampire against his will and he's not coping well...

there's a scene later in the story in which Yoongi (who, again, is a vampire) pulls back one of the blackout curtains during daytime, and watches his hand turn pink from sunlight. His thoughts at the time are muddled as he has been in a depressive episode after getting turned. Another member (who is also a vampire) closes the curtain and takes care of Yoongi.

In a continuing trend, recs for two brand new MDZS/Untamed fics from me today:

Summary: Wei Wuxian had already made his mark on the cultivation world and he knew it. He had been a nuisance and a war hero and a threat and the stain of true evil and then he had died. Whatever place he had once carved for himself was shed at some point in those thirteen years. Now, having been revived, a man displaced from time, he could accept that he didn't really belong anywhere except perhaps at Lan Wangji's side. And that should be enough, because Lan Wangji's side was the best place in the world to belong. It didn't matter if none of the other sects wanted anything to do with him, or the fear and scorn that other cultivators met him with. Really, it didn't. The juniors disagree. (a new 'all the sects come to love wwx' fic)

Summary Snippet: A sleep deprived Wei Ying stumbles into a tea shop, meets an impossibly beautiful man, and is served a cup of tea that changes his life in more ways than he could have possibly expected.

A modern day meet cute with heaps of Wangxian fluff, mutual pining, and A-Yuan adorableness galore! (exactly what it says on the tin - cute modern AU)

SCREAM | Sucker Love by Marie. + Liam -- Scream has such a 90s heart to it (even Scream 5 and 6), if that makes any sense, so the use of Placebo's Every You Every Me hits so right!

Gilmore Girls:
rory gilmore | what was i made for? by kindred spirit -- Youth is thinking Rory is the problem for failing to reach her potential. Maturity is realizing that she was only human. This vid really captures that. And the comments are full of spot-on takes on Rory as a character!
