* Untitled Kim Seokjin portrait by tttttomottttt - Extra adorable b&w piece based on Jin's fanmeet last week. Down to the sign he wore during the first part of the fanmeet (where he hugged and/or shook hands with 1,000 v.lucky fans). It reads "hug me" AND shows the alien version of Jin from his 2022 solo single "The Astronaut".

* Welcome back our Jin by knity_knoty - I love how unserious ARMYs are abt the Tannies' military discharge. Such as this whole production involving crocheted heads of every BTS member and their selection as they're returning to civil life.

* Untitled by yoongi_jin81074 - Slightly meta fanwork in which Shooky (a mischievous cookie created by Yoongi for BT21) is wearing a version of Yoongi's knit sweater from one of his "Seesaw" performances. UwU to infinity, really.

* first & second by cloudyworld (Rated Gen, Yoongi/Hobi pre-slash, 2.7k) - A non-idol AU in which they're neighbors. Yoongi is a trans man. V. cute, slice of life ficlet.

* Maybe I'll Come Alive by thehoyden (Mature, RM/Jimin, 1.9k words) - A short fic set in enlistment era and the tender development of Minimoni's relationship. I also liked the subtle way it touched on gender identity.

Isn't it? I love the huge display of creativity artmys have shown during Jin's return to civilian life. XD

The Hurt/Comfort Exchange recently opened, I haven't had a lot of time to go through it, but here's a few things I really liked. (Creators are still anon, peruse the rest of the collection here):

excuses, excuses, 东栏雪 | Dōng Lán Xuě (Web Series) fandom. 1,056 words. Summary: The Seventh Prince schemes to get comfort from his maid. (this is my gift, an excellent look at self-injury and the manipulations behind it)

under the clouds, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood fandom. 1670 words. Summary: A mission gone wrong leaves Ed injured and trapped in a snowstorm with Al. (wonderful scene between the Elric brothers)

Delicate Approach, MDZS fandom. 1819 words. Summary: In a universe in which cultivators have wings, the xuanwu cave scene goes a little differently. (wing grooming, tender and sweet)

late night comfort, The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty fandom. 1175 words. Summary: Sui Zhou struggles with his nightmares. Tang Fan tries to help. (comfort food and nightmare soothing, lovely)

All That's Gold, original work, 4794 words. Summary: It is late winter when the Solsteel War is over. It is early spring when Lindel finally returns to his wife.

Rhiss welcomes him with tears in her eyes and a smile that looks like home. She carries the faint, familiar scent of magic-conducting ink and black tea. She holds her arms out and Lindel dismounts his steed and wraps her into an embrace. She clutches the back of his formal uniform and her head rests beside the medal of high honor His Majesty pinned to his chest earlier in the day. She fits into his arms like a sword sliding into its scabbard, a signal of the battle’s end, like his embrace was tailor-made for her.

Lindel breathes in, feels her heartbeat against his, feels the sunlight warm his face, hears the gentle rustle of wind through the trees, and wonders if all of him has come back to her. The throbbing ache in his chest says he has not. (great look at ptsd and really interesting world building)
