Been busy entering fics, but only one of them has stood out as a major favorite of mine that I re-read a lot, and it's a crossover:

Beauty and the Beast TV 1987 / Lois & Clark: TNAOS

Becky Bain - Timeless

An innocent gift — or is it? — leads Lois and Clark to a world where someone kills by slashing… A compelling Beauty and the Beast crossover.

You can read it if you only know the vague background of Superman - there's virtually nothing specific to the L&C show in particular, and the Beauty and the Beast stuff is all explained in the fic (I have yet to watch the BatB show but it's on my very long list now because of this fic).
