I've continued adding fics to my db, as I'm going through the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman fandom currently. Normally on any given week I might add one or two favorite fics at most, ones that I periodically re-read (though all fics I add are enjoyable to some degree), and those are easy to post in a comment to the community recs post. But I started adding one old favorite author, Nan Smith, and realized there were too many of her fics that I would want to share, so I decided to wait until I was done adding her fic, and now I can share them all, organized by the series. She wrote a number of series and given that they're only hosted on FFN (not the easiest place to navigate) and the fandom-specific archive (which has a separate series guide but no organized page with links that I know of), I decided I should make a post of my favorite series and share with everyone.
Nan's specialty is blending a good casefic with B-plot, especially in progressing an overall investigation over multiple fics, so if that sounds up your alley, check these out! While I highly recommend watching the Lois & Clark show itself, most people have enough background knowledge of Superman to be able to follow many of the stories written for the show, so these may be more canon-blind-friendly than most.
There's nearly 1.7 million words in all of these fics combined, so this should keep you reading for quite some time!
Guide to icons used:

Since all of these fics are favorites, this icon applies to all of them:

As always with my db-generated lists, ratings are all converted to a single system for convenience:
Fanfiction.net - G through R
AO3 - PG through X (though the occasional child-friendly fic I mark G)
anything without a rating (AO3 or other site) - Unrated
I listed any ships I thought were major below each fic. If there are any minor/background ships you want to avoid, please leave a comment and ask for a list to be made for you. Note that ships may refer to one-sided or unrequited ones as well as to requited/mutual. All series in this post end with Clark/Lois so have no fear about any other ships listed.
My database stores information on themes, which cover everything from grammatical things like tense & person (I mark for present tense, first person, second person, and direct address), to format (poetry, songfic, 5+1, etc.), trope (fake couple, stranded together, etc.), relationship type (beginning, established, etc.), general feel (angst, fluff, etc.), fic ending (positive, sad/unhappy, mixed/ambivalent, etc.), and warnings (major character death, non-con, violence/wounds, etc.). For this fandom, I also have specific fandom-related themes like a special location (New Krypton, Smallville, etc.), kryptonite (green kryptonite, red kryptonite, etc.), revelation status (Lois knows, Clark tells Lois, Lois finds out secretly, etc.), and more. These have been included below the major ships. Note that this may spoil you.
If you would rather just have the list below with certain themes excluded (rather than have everything spoiled), please comment to let me know which one(s) and I can reply to your comment with the non-spoilery recs. You can find the full list of themes here.
