Not so much a new discovery as an old favorite Inuyasha fic that just updated after a hiatus!

Mastering Chemistry by BillytheBee
Summary: Naraku is used to new lab assistants running away, but the new one shrugs most of his torments away. His harassing ways turn darker once he dives deeper into his research and he's dragging the new assistant with him.

This story is so much fun! It's got a great premise that adapts the Inuyasha characters to a modern setting in a believable way, a villain main character you'll love to hate, a fun OC, and science!

Fair warning, though: it's over 250,000 words and counting, and there is a bit of graphic violence (and some mildly gross science and sci fi stuff).

A few Supernatural recs, I recently rewatched The End so here are couple of Endverse fics, plus a bonus Adam/Michael ficlet.

Epilogue by Jayne L

Reccer's Note: Destiel is not normally my thing, but this fic is very well written. It is from the POV of Endverse!Cas who is flung out of his timeline, back into season 5 "present day". Cas' internal dialogue is heartbreaking, especially when he thinks back to his Dean, and how different he is from 2009 Dean, plus some of the flashbacks are very sad. The threesome sex scene is also incredibly hot, but it is Cas' emotions that really drive this story.

Reccer's Note: A rare Sastiel fic that takes place in the Endverse. This takes place in the Endverse before Sam says yes to Lucifer, Sam and Dean are separated and Cas is travelling between the brothers. It explores a mix of Sam's feelings, and Sam and Cas finding comfort in each other's bodies, and Sam being conflicted about that.

*Seokjin and his six goth boyfriends by TwilightSaphir - It's a pretty tongue-in-cheek piece based on Seokjin's predilection for clothing with lighter hues.


* Airport Fashion Mix-up by byonbyonbukubuk - A canon-inspired piece where everyone is wearing the "wrong" clothes.:P


* Taehyung/Yoongi matching clothes by robin95z - Yet another canonical fanart in which Taehyung and Yoongi are wearing matching clothes for BTS' America's Got Talent performance of their hit song "Dynamite".


* Tiny Desk by _ma1c0 - AND ANOTHER canon-inspired piece based on BTS' literal tiny desk (back in their debut days) and this year's performance for PBS' Tiny Desk.

* Played Out by namib (Teen, Yoongi/Taehyung, 14.1k) - An AU in which the rest of the group discovers that Yoongi and Taehyung have been secretly dating. I loved how the author tackled the theme of queer ppl who happen to be kpop idols.


* I am here to honor you by racingthesunset (Explicit, Jungkook-centric OT7, 8.3k) - Jungkook is the v. happy sub for the other six members. This fic begins after a consensual rough kinky times.

I've been reading a TON of fic lately for IT, and there's a lot of good fic out there but these two are underappreciated gems:

On July 14th of 1984, the day before the Canal Days Festival, Don Hagarty begged his boyfriend to skip town with him.

Reccer's note: So, this is a bookverse fic, but you don't really need to have read the book to get it (Don and Adrian's story is basically the same as the movie). It's such a tender little fic about their relationship that really gets at the underlying horror and tragedy or Derry without ever explicitly stating it.

Stand Up by ginger_rude
Some months after returning from Derry, Richie decides it's time to shake up the act a little.

Reccer's note: There are a lot of great fics about Richie's stand-up act, but I think this might just be the only one I've seen that isn't a fix-it. Richie's voice is perfect, and the whole thing is sharply funny and all the more heartbreaking for it. Read it four times in a row and felt like I'd been punched in the gut every time.

Almost didn't remember to do this in time (won't have a chance this weekend), but here are a couple Leverage recs, which happen to be on a Sophie & Parker theme (yay ladies!).
