Community Recs Post!
Nov. 12th, 2020 08:46 amEvery Thursday, we have a community recs post, like this one, where you can drop a rec or five in the comments. This works great if you only have one rec and don't want to make a whole post for it, if you don't have a DW account to make posts of your own, or if you're just shy. :)
(But don't forget, you're also welcome to post recs directly to the comm seven days a week. :D)
So, what cool fic/art/vid have we discovered this week? Drop it in the comments below! Anon comments are enabled.

On July 14th of 1984, the day before the Canal Days Festival, Don Hagarty begged his boyfriend to skip town with him.
Reccer's note: So, this is a bookverse fic, but you don't really need to have read the book to get it (Don and Adrian's story is basically the same as the movie). It's such a tender little fic about their relationship that really gets at the underlying horror and tragedy or Derry without ever explicitly stating it.
Stand Up by ginger_rude
Some months after returning from Derry, Richie decides it's time to shake up the act a little.
Reccer's note: There are a lot of great fics about Richie's stand-up act, but I think this might just be the only one I've seen that isn't a fix-it. Richie's voice is perfect, and the whole thing is sharply funny and all the more heartbreaking for it. Read it four times in a row and felt like I'd been punched in the gut every time.
