Summary: Crime doesn't stop just because you're dead. Set in the afterlife. L catches bad guys, eats cake, falls in love, and is haunted by a giant evil skeleton.

This is an intriguing, well-plotted post-canon fic with a really creative, engaging afterlife setting. IC, very believable character development, super compelling all around. It's a major doorstopper, clocking in at 450K, and it's too bad the sequel will probably never be finished, but it's well worth the read.
