Every Thursday, we have a community recs post, like this one, where you can drop a rec or two in the comments. This works great if you only have one rec and don't want to make a whole post for it, or if you don't have a DW account to make posts of your own, or if you're shy. ;)

(But don't forget, you're free to post recs of your own seven days a week. :D)

They can be! I don't think I'd call this one a modern AU though because when I read modern AU I usually expect the canon background to be transformed in some way, and technically this is just a story set in the very far future from canon.
