Blast from the past -- as I was reviewing early entries in my account due to marchmetamatterschallenge, I came across the following, which unlike many early recs, still had a functioning link:

"A general fandom rec, I realized I’ve been reading this for most of a year and have yet to mention it here. Considering the large readership it has many of you probably already know about it but here it is anyway. Starting with the absolutely delightful Mina de Malfois and the SnailMail Affair this original fic sucked me in. How could I resist a Jeeves and Wooster take on fanfic writers and the social currents of fandom? A fanfic of fandom itself it’s so amusingly true and yet done with gentle jabs. I think most readers will grow to adore Mina even as they laugh at her."

A youTube rabbit hole, some help from BritBox, and my reaction to my second COVID shot led to my discovery of a very niche fandom: The Champions. It's a late 60s-early 70s combo of X-Men, Man from UNCLE, and Lost Horizon. It's worth looking up if that sort of thing looks to be up your alley.

There are very few fics, but I found two that I liked:

The Five Figure Fanwork Exchange is a multifandom ficathon for works over 10k (or you could write 2 5k works), and it has produced some EXCELLENT fic this year.
