FANART

* A walk with the Jeon fam by vanteandante - V. cute cartoon-like piece featuring Jungkook walking Bam, Song, Paeng, and Gureum.


* V hyung by bwijelly - This is based on the 03/07/22 vlive featuring Seokjin, Taehyung, Jungkook, and Hobi in which Seokjin accidentally called Taehyung "V hyung" and "V hyungie". Taehyung's reaction (pulling Seokjn towards him and kissing the top of his head) is immortalized in this sweet fanant.


* love. by OneEightO - a quiet moment of Yoongi playing the piano that was inspired from a recent Bangtan Bom during the filming of the "Permission to Dance" mv. I really like the color palette in this piece.


* Our Judo boy by pencil2019 - A neat series of doodles featuring Taehyung and Jimin practing judo based on an Instagram post in which Taehyung's practicing judo with a teacher.


FICS

* Ink & Ivory by albinococonut23 (Mature, Yoongi/RM/Hobi, background Taehyung/Jimin, 82k) - An AMAZEBALLS FIC set in the Idol world but NOT featuring BTS as we know them. #Oooooh

Yoongi gets an offer to write a song for a v. popular pop duo. He's not doing too well and wishes he could still be close to his former songwriting partner. Meanwhile, he befriends his dogsitter (who is not only tremendously hot, but also knows a bit or two abt writing songs. Huh…)

So, okay, by this point, y'all know my usual "I'm a slow reader/I get tired after reading anything over 20k/I love longer ficS but it takes me ages to finish THEM" song and dance. WHICH IS LOLARIOUS GIVEN THAT I READ ALL 82K WORDS IN ONE (1) SITTING. It took me almost all night, but I couldn't put it down.

Maybe, after reading the fic's summary, the plot sounds vaguely familiar. This is cuz it's inspired by the 2007 movie Music & Lyrics (which starred Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.) I've yet to watch that film (somehow never picking it up), so I can assure you that knowing that movie's plot isn't super important to enjoying this fic. Unfortch, because of the same reason, I can't confirm how closely this fic's plot follows the movie's.

What I can attest is that all 3 relationships within the OT3 (Yoongi/RM, RM/Hobi, Hobi/Yoongi) are given equal space and development. Meanwhile, Taehyung/Jimin is deffo a POWER COUPLE.

This is the kind of fic that works for everyone: fans (there are several Easter eggs) and nonfans (it can be enjoyed w/o any canon knowledge) alike. :D

Summary: Lan Wangji is pretty sure he's in love with a wanted criminal. (He's only half right.) (really fun mistaken identity modern AU)

Story-Shaped by lingering_song (14k)
Summary Snippet: Nie Huaisang knows that things in this world are rarely story-shaped. That they're more akin to ink spilled on parchment - Messy and unpredictable and rather tragic. But out of all the threads he's woven throughout damn near a decade, he had not expected the most straightforward of his ploys to go this awry. (excellent post-canon NHS and how he takes in WWX and helps opinions about him change)

Summary: Wei Wuxian's main duties at the Lan complex were as follows: 1. Minor repairs and maintenance. 2. Clean common spaces. (He'd done the floor in 56 seconds last time, and didn't miss any of it.) (Except maybe a couple corners.) 3. Deliver mail. (And food, because even Lans couldn't resist the siren song of Dominos.) 4. Ignore any weirdness. Like, cat stuff. (great modern shifter fic AU)

Summary: There are many side effects of immortality. One of them is about the things you thought were lost to the past till they're dug up again. As resident most known immortal and good child, Lan Sizhui resigns himself to scouting out the exhibit of erotic art recently donated from the Lan sect to see if it's actually what they think it is. (Hilarious! Poor Sizhui)

The damning silence dragged on for too long while the weight of Yugi’s infraction hung in the air. He stayed where he had collapsed on his aching knees, not daring to look up. He would have groveled if he had not become so paralyzed by fear and the King’s gaze on his shoulders. “You are peculiarly small,” the Pharaoh finally spoke—a tremor through Yugi’s feeble heart. He had never imagined what the man might sound like, but somehow his voice alone was more than Ryou’s description could have ever conveyed. It was was rich but not rough. Like a strong current pulling under a smooth river.

Yugi continued to stare down into the stones of the path while tears pricked at the corner of his vision. The silence had returned, interrupted only by a river bird crooning in the distance and the trickle of running water in the garden while Yugi awaited his punishment. Eventually he made the terrible realization that the King was waiting for a response to his strange comment. “I suppose so, Your Highness,” Yugi finally whispered through his trembling lips.

An unfinished WIP from 2018, alas, but I really enjoyed what they'd written so far! The development between Atem and Yuugi is especially sweet, and Bakura and the Thief King have some great developments as well. <3

A silly ficlet with Hardison, Eliot, and Parker banter. Summary says OT3 but the fic itself doesn't have any shippiness so can be read even if you're not into the OT3.
