FANART

* 🔑My work makes me breathe, so I want MORE by bangdannies - Amazing portraits of Hobi based on the mv for "MORE". I really love the second one with the superimposed glowing skeleton (which mimics a sequence in the mv.)


* We're happy by moonlambs - What a sweet fanart! A cute moment of setting up the OT7 pic during the guys' strawberry farm date back in 2020.


* Untitled Taehyung by bonvoyage_kv - A neat piece inspired by Taehyung's outfit in Day 4 of the Las Vegas' concerts plus some nice red heels.


* R63!Hyung Line for the Blood Sweat & Tears mv and R63!Maknae Line for the Blood Sweat & Tears mv by Verociraptorr - Such a dreamlike set.


* Untitled Yoongi portrait by aqualimits - What a lovely fanart. I love Yoongi's lavender hair.


FICS

* Cinetown 'verse series by twomblying (Rated Mature, Yoongi/Jungkook, RM/Jimin, and Taehyung/Seokjin, 73k across 3 fics so far.)

This is a fun series that offers up a lot of tropes for your enjoyment. You get the sweet and fluffy romance of Minimoni, the slow (and I do mean slow) burn of Sugakookie, and the FWB to Lovers of Taejin. AND THERE'S PLOT TOO!

An ode to the old skool video rental stores that faded in popularity by the start of the new century. The series centers abt the last remaining video rental store in Seoul. I really enjoy the sense of place the author tapped into. You can tell they did some research so that there's no way this fic series could be set anywhere other than Korea.

I also dig the way OT7 has a platonic bond (in addition to the romantic pairings within the group.)

The only thing I really have to warn for is that the last story is unfinished (at the time of this rec post.) I'm hopeful we'll get the definite ending at some point in the future. THAT SAID, however, there aren't any cliffhangers in the other stories, so please don't let story no.4 being incomplete deter you from enjoying these fics.


* Sea Level by grandmas (Explicit, Yoongi/Seokjin, background Jungkook/Hobi, Taehyung/Jimin, 30k) - Working on a cruise ship has been pretty good to bartender!Yoongi. That is, until Kim Seokjin (the cruise ship's new second officer) shows up.

This is such a fun AU! One that's filled with Seokjin's bad puns and cute flirting, Yoongi's seemingly aloof (but not really) personality, Vmin as casual witnesses of all the goings on, and the rest of the guys romancing on the high seas.

Reccing some brand new MDZS/Untamed fics today:

Summary Snippet: Wei Wuxian's ad appeared in the Sunday paper just two days ago: Wanted: Subject to pose as reference for neoclassical academic commission. Tall-ish height and muscular physique helpful, but not necessary. 3 months’ pay at min. Enquire at Yiling Fine Arts Collective if interested. And now, here in his studio on an otherwise normal Tuesday morning, stands the most stunning man Wei Wuxian has ever seen here to do as instructed - enquire. (This lavender marriage 70s art AU just finished, it, and its art, is great!)

A Secret Never Shared by Vrishchika (29k, MDZS Reverse Big Bang: 2022)
Summary Snippet: Lan Wangji finds a glimmer of hope in a small village. (Absolutely fascinating canon-divergent AU where several years after WWX's death temples start springing up to worship Wèimíng, God of the Unnamed Dead, and after offering prayers, LWJ realizes who this new god truly is.)

Elder, an Aesthetic by MarbleGlove (8k)
Summary: Wei Wuxian always enjoyed picking an aesthetic and really leaning into it. As an adolescent, he was joyous, entitled and high-born; during the war, he was dangerous and threatening. After the war, he was lost. But then he found his new aesthetic: Elder of the Jiang Sect. (absolutely delightful canon divergent fixit AU)
