Lesser known/newer MDZS/Untamed fic recs from me today with an accidental animal transformation theme:

Summary Snippet: Wei Ying runs a magical coffee shop where he helps the living work out their problems and makes coffee for ghosts. So when his best friend is turned into a bunny with a curse that can only be broken by True Love's Kiss, he tries to help Lan Zhan find The One. This would be so much easier if Wei Ying wasn't in love with him. (absolutely delightful)

Summary: Lan Wangji, under an animal transformation curse, arrives at Yiling to protect Wei Wuxian from an upcoming assault. (well done canon era witch!au)

What We Grew in this Forsaken Place by Admiranda (28k, locked to archive)
Summary: Wei Wuxian is the sole cultivator stationed in Yiling Tower out in the Forsaken Battlegrounds, the loneliest post out across the jianghu. No one else in memory has ever lasted the five years of a cultivator posting, but he's determined to do it and make it out before the sheer emptiness can affect even him. His quest becomes that much easier when he rescues a snow white fox that unexpectedly appears one day, giving him the companionship and friend he so desperately longs for out here in the desolate wastes. The mystery of just who this giant, white fox is and how he ended out here in the first place is a secondary concern to the joy of finally having someone at his side. (interesting modern-with-cultivation AU with WWX saving a fox that might not be what it seems)

He has his caravan, his books, and his work, offering his services to the men who stop by Tadfield on their arduous journey north.
One day, a mysterious stranger knocks on his door. Crowley is charming and handsome and he appears to know his way around a vegetable garden. He comes with the tempting offer of a mutually beneficial arrangement. But it’s in Aziraphale’s best interest not to get too attached.
A dystopian cottagecore sex worker AU.
Reccer's Note: This is probably the most wholesome zombie apocalypse story I have ever read! The author does such a great job with the atmosphere, you can feel the hot summer sun, and the insects buzzing in the garden. Even though Aziraphale and Crowley have sex in the beginning, the story does a really great job of building up their friendship and then romantic relationship. Crowley is pretty much a goner for Aziraphale from the get go, but Aziraphale has some issues around relationships and intimacy, but given his background it makes sense.
A couple of notes, aside from one pivotal scene the zombies are not a core element to the story, they only come out at night, and people have learned to avoid them. Also, Aziraphale is a sex worker in this story so there are sexual situations with men other than Crowley, they are lightly skimmed over and not given a huge amount of detail, but they are there. Overall, I think the author handled Aziraphale's sex work respectfully.

Finally got around to reading brooklinegirl’s "Fully Completely".
WangXian, E, ~29k. WWX has a date but oh no, he has forgotten how to kiss! Please Lan Zhan, please practise with him so that the date will be successful!
Really enjoyable read with appropriately sad pining on LWJ’s part that's not dragged out too long until they finally confess and have their happy ending.

* Save ME (wootteo ver.) by kaname_7 - A lulzy moment of poor Wooteo and Bam. The thing that tickles me pink the most is Bam's v. expressive puppy eyes.


* 🐥🌟 very precious to me by majablanque - Yup, that's two (2!) fanarts from the same person. What can I say? They have a real talent for rendering key moments in BTS' lives. Such as this Jimin-centric piece that includes his chat comments during Jin's birthday live, his own Weverse selcas, and his fit during his recent visit to NYC.


Heads up that the following batch of fanart specifically deals with/address Jin's enlistment (up to and including the moment when the rest of the guys said good-bye to him at the base.
