Apologies if this one has been recced before -- it's been in my to-read for a while and I can't remember where I found it. I think it was through browsing bookmarks of a fave author, but can't be sure... either way, it's definitely good enough to warrant a second rec! :)

Precisely When Somebody Shows You to the Ocean by

sinkingmyships (Yoongi/Seokjin, M, 21k)

In which Yoongi is a marine biologist, Seokjin is a mermaid, and every last word is an absolute delight.

There is also a little epilogue fic (G, 3k) by the same author, which is equally wonderful and well worth a read if you liked the original.

Three post-canon, lesser known mdzs/untamed fics recs from me today:

I find in you, every day for us something new by Marayanna (4k)
Summary Snippet: Sizhui picks himself up, starting to dust himself off and- oh. Oh no. The shopping stall he’s been thrown at – with its contents now all over him – was filled with colorful paint. (short and cute, if slightly bittersweet, post-canon WWX&LSZ fic)

Disaster on Four Legs by DrJLecter (17k)
Summary: Wei Wuxian wakes up as a cat one day during his travels, far away from anyone who could help. What starts as an exciting adventure turns serious faster than he expected. (post-canon fic with the perfect combination of mystery and melancholy)

Worth the Price by Minyoongiisacatuwu (22k)
Summary: Post CQL Lan Wangji adjusts to life as the chief cultivator alone. Well almost. A new rabbit comes to warren, a natural giant. But she’s alone. And so Hanguang-jun embarks upon a noble quest to find her a mate between his duties. (and breed more huge rabbits and maybe fill the hole in his chest just a little in the process).

Miles and miles away, Wei Wuxian comes to terms with his feelings about himself, the world and Lan Zhan with every letter he writes. When he hears of the quest, he deems a giant rabbit a suitable courting gift. If only he could find one.

A story of love, loneliness, introspection, and rabbits. (excellent and believable post-canon fic)
