magneticwave is one of my favorite, favorite fic writers, and I was so stoked to see them writing The Old Guard! It's an AU in which Nile goes to med school instead of enlisting... and she ends up working in the lab of one Dr. Meta Kozak.

* Funky!Jin by jinsamgyup - this is a vibrant piece based on Jin from BTS' Dynamite mv. It made me smile.


*Vampire prince!Taehyung/Alpha werewolf!Jungkook by kvfaerie - A sweet first meeting and the promise of a shared future. My fave thing abt it is that it was inspired by Taehyung's outfit for a press conference.


FICS

* wake your sleeping youth by nebulia (Seokjin/Jungkook, 4.2k, Explicit) - A hella tasty fic featuring somnophillia and actually good! conversations around the issue of consent. The author combined the awkwardness of doing something kinky for the first time with the light-headed feeling of arousal in a way that really worked.


* the faceless young grandpa who lives openly in jin's room by nebulia (Seokjin/Yoongi, 6k, Mature)- When my friend L. recced me this fic, the words "soft monsters" were uttered. Before reading the fic, I clicked on the fanart the author has included. If only so I could get an idea of what void faced! Yoongi would look like.

This is one of those stories that are quite memorable because it pushes the limits of weirdness (think The Addams Family but a smidgen darker?) AND maintains the canon compliance as well as everyone's characterizations in line.

On top of all that, there is the shy courting of Jin and Yoongi--which leads to some v. spicy times.
