Time for my weekly Leverage recs round-up. :) A few more than usual this time! I've been reading a bit more as I work on the Yahoo Groups project, getting closer to done. And discovered quite a few really lovely fics in the process. Here you are:

Warnings: Graphic violence, Major Character Death (referenced death is Dean's canonical death in season 3)
Relationships: Sam/Cas
Summary: Castiel Novak has always been haunted by dreams of things he can’t explain. Still, he has a good life, and isn’t too lonely - he’s got his twin Jimmy and his dog Gracie, if no one else. All that changes when a drunken drifter, Sam, interrupts his quiet little life. It remains to be seen if Sam makes things be better or worse.
A season 3.5 AU.
Reccer's Note: An alternative season 4, in which Castiel chooses to fall from heaven like Anna, and be raised as human, and he meets Sam in the months after Dean's death in season 3 when he was a mess. It was an interesting concept, the author does a great job conveying what Castiel's angel memories would be like, and how he never feels quite right as a human. The love story between Sam and Cas is lovely, but also bittersweet. When Cas learns that he is angel, and thinks that he must leave Sam, it is emotional. Also, the author does a great job writing Balthazar, she gets his voice and personality right, which many writers in the fandom seem to struggle with.

* Jimin fanart by

ellendrawings - Jimin's birthday was this past Tuesday and, in celebration, there were tons of Jimin-centric fanart on the TL. I chose this one because it tipped its hat to Jimin's solo performance during the ON:E online concert + I really love the 80s vibes throughout the entire piece.

* Seokjin/Jimin moment from In the SOOP by

kaimaegi - Context: In the SOOP is an 8-episode show in which the group spends a week at place near some mountains. In one of the episodes, Jin wakes up Jimmin and gives him a spoon for reasons that only make sense to Jin, LOL.

In any case, this fanart takes that moment and filters it thru a shippy lens. I love everything about it: from art style to Jimin's pout. :D

* Creepy!Jin by

noodnab - CW: Blood. Vampire!Jin in a more literal way. The splash of blood adds a layer of menace that I really dig.

FICS (No canon required for any of them)

* The Shape of Things by

Oh_Hey_Tae (G-to-PG, RM/Jimin, 9.5k) - RM, Jin, and JK get dragged to a hot yoga class by their friend Hobi. Tho not really enthusiastic at first, RM is soon trying to not DIE because of said class' ridiculously attractive teacher, one Park Jimin.

This is a lighthearted story that includes Jin/Taehyung as a good chaotic side ship PLUS RM being flustered by and hopelessly attracted to Jimin. I had a blast reading it. No canon knowledge is required.

* Greedy by

justananpan (Explicit, Yoongi/Jin, 5.5k) - Listen, I'm a total sucker for established relationship fic and this one adds an extra layer of AWESOMECAKES by having a Jin who is non-sex repulsed asexual. One of the things I liked about this story was that it showed how an asexual person and an allosexual one can have a fulfilling relationship. It verged a little in character study as we follow Jin having moments of introspection.

Content warning for some jackass being rude about asexuality + an asexual person remembering previous relationships in which they forced themselves to have sex with past partners (even if they didn't want to).

* And Here's Your Verse by

beatperfume (Explicit, Yoongi/Jungkook, 24.5k) - This is a really neat AU in which Jungkook is a moderately famous gamer as well as a huge fan of the rap group Cypher. Meanwhile, Yoongi is a songwriter and producer for a small record company and one third of the underground rap group Cypher.

It's a solid fic about people growing up and learning to be vulnerable. The way that Yoongi and Jungkook get together and figure each other out is really interesting too.
