BTS a-go-go! ಠ_ಠ

FANART

* Untitled piece by Gresiteisland - A slice-of-life fanart in which RM and Yoongi are riding the train to somewhere. The late afternoon, burnt orange palette adds an extra dose of coziness.


* Untitled Vmin by btgudokgye - A high school-era snapshot of Jimin and Taehyung hanging out with some friends. My fave thing in this piece is Taehyung's hand on Jimin's outstretched, bare leg. Implying any kind of degree of intimacy between the two.


* Mountain God and Dragon King by wildguoz - Inspired by BTS' recent Seoul tourism video, this artist did a wonderful interpretation with the guys wearing hanboks. The colors are gorgeous too.


* Butter vs. IDOL by kurocavi - A cool "battle" featuring the BTS from both mvs. The artist did a wonderful job in recreating the IDOL colorful suits too.


* Singing my blues by kthftjope - Simply gorgeous profile art that tips its hat to Hobi's song "Blue Side". The dream-like quality throughout makes the entire piece even lovelier.


FICS

* times six by ohko (Explicit, RM-centric OT7, brief instances of casual hook-ups featuring RM/OFC, 54.6k) - Canon-compliant A/B/O in which RM realizes he's an omega meant to lead six alphas. Complications ensue.

FTR, I'm rarely someone who can go thru a fic that's over 20k in one sitting, but that's EXACTLY what happened (much to next day!me's chagrin cuz I stayed up til around 4 a.m.) when I started this fic.

The author did a FANTASTIC job with RM's characterization: his overthinking, anxieties and how (in this story at least) he sabotages himself until it's nearly too late. His wonder at seeing others wanting him and reciprocating with a delicious mix of lust and love.

ON TOP OF THAT, there's the rollercoaster ride that is a v. unconventional A/B/O dynamic, how it pushes RM to (eventually) accept who he is and what his bond with the rest of BTS is vs. how he thinks things should be and assuming other ppl's feelings. Because of the length, there's enough space for RM to stumble as he grows into acknowledging and accepting his own feelings and desires.

Plus the intimate scenes are chef's kiss levels of good. Yes, even the RM/OFC one.

THAT SAID, I do have to reiterate the author's warning abt dub con: it might make some readers uncomfortable (I was R-E-A-D-Y to bounce if it got too close to noncon), but everything does get addressed and resolved.


* we started at midnight (go til the sunrise) by babiesbat (Explicit, RM/Yoongi, 4k) - So this one time, RM finds Yoongi's toy under the sofa…

This is the perfect PWP: naughty times abound mixed in with lulz and some feels. I also liked the blurriness in how RM thinks of his dynamic (or relationship) with Yoongi.
